John A. Jeselnick

John A. Jeselnick, age 64, a resident of Naperville, Ill. since 1979, formerly of St. Marys, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 at Edward Hospital in Naperville, Ill.
He was born March 9, 1949 in St. Marys.
John grew up in St. Marys as an altar boy, Eagle Scout, lifeguard, athlete and 1967 graduate of Elk County Christian High School. He received his undergraduate degree in engineering from Penn State University in State College, and his master's degree in industrial administration from Purdue University in Lafayette, Ind.
John began his career as a consultant with Arthur Anderson and later worked for KPMG where he retired as a Partner. Since 2001, John owned and operated Jeselnick & Associates.
Over the course of his career, John aided countless hospitals and organizations in the health care field. John was a member of St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Naperville and enjoyed golfing, reading, traveling and all things Disney. His true passion was helping others and spending time with his family.
He was the beloved husband of Barbara, whom he married Jan. 6, 1979; loving father of Brian J. (Melissa) of Celebration, Fla., Joel D. and Catherine C. of Naperville; beloved son of Yolanda and the late Edward; dear brother of James (Mary Kay), the late Thomas, Stephen, Andrew, Mary Jo (Jim), Anne (Christopher), Paul (Andrew), Julia, Mark, Gregory (Angela), and Dona (Paul); loving brother-in-law of Jeffrey, Sandra, Christopher, and Beth; and fun-loving uncle of many.
Mass will be celebrated for John A. Jeselnick in his name Friday, Feb. 28, 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 325 Center St., St. Marys.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated this spring at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 36 N. Ellsworth St., Naperville, Ill.
Interment will be private.
