John Max Pennington

John Max Pennington, 42, of 139 Julia St., Johnsonburg, died Monday night, April 18, 2011 at Hamot Medical Center in Erie following a brief illness.
He was born Jan. 20, 1969 in Ridgway, son of MaryAnn Pavlock Pennington and James E. Pennington, who survive.
He resided in Johnsonburg all his life and graduated from Johnsonburg High School, Class of 1990. He was a member of Holy Rosary Church and Central Hose Co. He was also an Eagle Scout. He loved hunting and fishing and had a special way with people and loved animals. He was employed by ELCAM in St. Marys for the past 21 years.
In addition to being survived by his mother at home and his father in Johnsonburg, he is survived by a sister, Julie Ann Pennington of St. Marys; a brother, James Pennington Jr. and his wife Robin of Ridgway; two nieces, Kelene and Cheyene Pennington of Ridgway; and several aunts and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Max and Amelia Pavlock; and by his paternal grandparents, Percy and Pearl Pennington.
A memorial service for John Max Pennington will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg on Thursday at 10 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Cemetery in Johnsonburg.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m.
