John R. Guy

John R. Guy, 84, of Fayetteville, died on Sunday, Nov. at his home.
He was born May 19, 1928 in Crenshaw, the son of the late John and Marie Guy.
He proudly served as a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army 24th Infantry  Division in Japan following World War II. He was employed for 35 years as a production supervisor at Stackpole Carbon Co. Upon his retirement in 1989, John moved to Fayetteville with his wife Betty Jean, to whom he was married for 53 years until her death in 2002. John often commented on how much he enjoyed his work and life in St.Marys and the many friends and neighbors he had here.
He is survived by his elder son, John A. Guy of Swanton, Md., daughter-in-law Elizabeth, and granddaughter Joanna, who was the joy of his life; and by his younger son, Robert R. Guy of Hagerstown, Md.
John R. Guy will be interred beside his wife at the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery in Annville.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lutheran Home Care and Hospice at 2700 Luther Dr., Chambersburg, PA 17202 will be accepted in his memory.
