Joseph D. McCandless

Joseph D. McCandless, 32, of 225 South Michael St., St. Marys, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011 in Kersey unexpectedly.
He was born February 8, 1979, in Ridgway, son of the late James W. McCandless, who died on Sept. 6, 2007; and Debora Stahli McCandless of Dagus Mines, who survives.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1999. He was employed at DuBrook, Inc. of St. Marys.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Jolene McCandless at home; four brothers, James McCandless Jr. (Judy) of Auburn, N.Y., John McCandless (Irene) of Kersey, Jason McCandless of Kersey, and Jesse McCandless of St. Marys; his girlfriend, Kristin Logan of Ridgway; and nieces and nephews Ashley, Katlyn, Colby, J.P., and Jordyn McCandless.
He enjoyed hunting, the Steelers, his motorcycle and his nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph D. McCandless will be celebrated in the St. Boniface Church on Friday, Sept. 23, 2011 at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the St. Boniface Cemetery. Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
