Joseph G. Kronenwetter

Joseph G. Kronenwetter, 92, of 617 Sunset Rd., St. Marys, died on Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012 at Pinecrest Manor following an illness of the past six months.
He was born Jan. 18, 1920 in St. Marys, son of the late George E. and Kathryn Grant Kronenwetter.
He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1940. He also took businesses courses at Penn State. He was a retired employee of Stackpole Carbon Co., retiring in 1983 with over 40 years of service.
On Nov. 22, 1945, in West Virginia, he married Helen M. Welton, who survives. He is also survived by two sisters, Jane (Mrs. Jerome) Rupprecht of St. Marys and Betty Boschert of St. Marys.
He was a member of the St. Mary's Church and the Quarter Century Club of Stackpole Carbon Co. He was a lifelong member of the BPOE Elks, and was a past president of the local chapter of the National Accountants Association.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph G. Kronenwetter will be celebrated in the St. Mary's Church on Monday, Jan. 30, 2012 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Daniel Wolfel, OSB, as celebrant. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch Radkowski Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to a favorite charity.
