Joseph A. Hillebrand

Joseph A. Hillebrand, 88, of 74 Erie Avenue and formerly of Windfall Road, St. Marys, died on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011 at Allied Skilled Nursing Center in Scranton.
He was born July 21, 1923 in St. Marys, a son of the late Peter and Mary Zoschg Hillebrand.
On June 4, 1944 in St. Marys, he married Patricia M. McMackin Hillebrand, who survives.
Mr. Hillebrand was a member of St. Mary's Church. He graduated from Central High School and retired from Stackpole Carbon Company after many years of service. He was a member of the K of C and the St. Marys Sportsmens Club.
In addition to his wife of 67 years, Patricia M. McMackin Hillebrand, he is survived by four sons, Joseph Hillebrand and his wife Marilyn of Moscow, Steven Hillebrand of Wayne, Michael Hillebrand and his wife Barbara, Jermyn, and Patrick Hillebrand and his wife Mary Ann of St. Marys; a daughter, Kathy, Mrs. Steve Farell, Wellsboro; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, William Hillebrand of Kersey and Anthony Hillebrand of St. Marys; and a sister, Ida Sorg of St. Marys.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Thomas and Timothy Hillebrand; a granddaughter, Elizabeth; four brothers, Peter, Rudy, Louis and Otto Hillebrand; and a sister, Marie Hillebrand.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Joseph A. Hillebrand will be celebrated at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Church Street, St. Marys, on
Friday, Dec. 30, 2011 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Meinrad Lawson, O.S.B., as Celebrant.
Burial will be in the St. Marys Catholic Cemetery.
A gathering with the family will be held at the Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., St. Marys, on Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m.
