Josephine N. Bojalad

Josephine N. Bojalad, 74, of West Weber Avenue, DuBois, died Monday, May 9, 2011 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center.
She was born on Oct. 12, 1936 in Pike Township, Clearfield County, the daughter of the late John and Agnes (Berkey) Newell.
She graduated from Huston Township High School in 1954. She was a member of the Hickory Methodist Church and retired from Brockway Glass after 32 years of service. She loved family reunions, grandchildren, flowers and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by four sons, Paul E. Bojalad of DuBois, George A. Bojalad of Lockport, N.Y., Mike C. Bojalad of St. Marys and Ron L. Bojalad and his wife, Teri, of Orlando, Fla., two brothers, Harwood Newell of DuBois and David Newell and his wife, Crissie, of Ft. Mills, S.C., three sisters, Mary Maholtz of Penfield, Mrs. Richard (Emilie) Igou of Altoona and Mrs. Clarence (Jessie) Maholtz of Penfield; nine grandchildren, Erica, Nick, David, Tom, Alec Ian, Matthew, Lindsay and Lauren Bojalad; and two great-grandchildren, Elijah Bojalad and Kavian Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, John E. Newell Jr.
A private funeral service for Josephine N. Bojalad will be held on Friday at the Goble Baronick Funeral Home in DuBois. Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Goble Baronick Funeral Home.
