Joyce M. Beaver

Joyce M. Beaver, 82, of 512 Fourth Ave., Johnsonburg, died on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Kane Community Hospital in Kane following a brief illness.
She was born on Jan. 20, 1930 in Johnsonburg, daughter of Joseph and Frances Chiesa Marasco.
She married Richard S. "Dick" Beaver on May 5, 1951 in Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg. He died on May 23, 2005.
She resided in Johnsonburg all her life and graduated from Johnsonburg High School, Class of 1948.
She was a member of the Holy Rosary Church, where she was also a member of the Funeral Luncheon Committee, and the Johnsonburg Senior Center.
She had worked at Stackpole Carbon Company for seven years and Kay's Tots to Teens store for six years.
She is survived by one daughter, Jocelyn, Mrs. Charles Rossi of Orange Park, Fla.; two sons, Scott Beaver and Joseph E. Beaver, both of Ridgway; eight grandchildren, Nicole and Devon Rossi, Richard "Rick", Alexa and Damion Bevacqua, and Trevor, Brandon and Brittany Beaver; four great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Gavin Rossi, Scott Hedger and Josephine Beaver; a brother-in-law, Chester Gapinski of Johnsonburg; a niece, Renee Gapinski Lau and her husband Terry of Merrimac, N.H.; a nephew, Chester Gapinski and his wife MaryAnn of Groton, Mass.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband; a sister, Dorothy Gapinski; and a nephew, Billy Gapinski.
Friends and family of Joyce M. Beaver are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial at the Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg on Tuesday, March 13 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor. Interment will be at the Holy Rosary Cemetery in Johnsonburg. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg.
