June Yetzer

June Yetzer, 80, of 168 Queens Rd., died Thursday afternoon, Oct. 28, 2010 at Elk Regional Health Center following a lengthy illness.
She was born Aug. 10, 1930 in Montgomery, Ala., daughter of the late Anderson and Daisy Bodiford Hall. On July 13, 1963, in St. Marys, she married James Yetzer, who survives.
Mrs. Yetzer was a longtime resident of St. Marys and a member of the First United Methodist Church. She and her husband returned to St. Marys after spending 20 years living in Albuquerque, NM, as well as in her hometown of Montgomery, where she enjoyed reuniting with her family and friends. She was a cashier for more than 65 years and loved to be around people. She had been employed at Walmart in both St. Marys and in New Mexico, where she was a dedicated and well-loved cashier. She was endeared by all and was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her husband of more than 47 years, James Yetzer, she is survived by a daughter, JoAnn, Mrs. Ken Anderson of Ridgway; two sons, James Yetzer Jr. of Pensacola, Fla. and Jeff Yetzer and his wife, Debbie, of St. Marys; nine grandchildren, Janie Anderson of St. Marys, Tim and Josh Anderson of Md., Jesse Yetzer of Pensacola, Fla., and Roger, Christopher, Brandon, Natalie and Stephanie Yetzer, all of St. Marys; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty, Mrs. Robert Grieggs of Albuquerque, NM; and a brother, Mervin Hall, Montgomery, Ala.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Taylor in 1981; a sister, Irene Barnhill; and a brother, Chester Hall.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service for June Yetzer at the First United Methodist Church, 140 N. St. Marys St., on Monday, Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Chris Kindle, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery at a later date.
There will be no visitation.
