As often seems to happen with events held at Memorial Park, the forecast called for rain on Wednesday evening but instead the weather ended up being perfect for the park staff's KanJam for Cancer tournament. Fifteen two-person teams competed in the double-elimination tournament, and a number of other spectators showed up to watch the action.
The tournament was the final event to be coordinated by Memorial Park staff members Ben and Luke Daghir, who are about to enter their senior year of college. There was an entry fee per team, and around $170 was raised to benefit the Elk County Relay for Life.
