Karen Sue Yorns

January 10, 2013

Karen Sue Yorns, 44, of 429 Allenhurst Ave., Ridgway, died peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 9, 2013.
She was born June 8, 1968, in Butler, the daughter of James Lilley and the late Doris E. Lillie Lilley.
Karen worked as a part-time hairstylist, she took care of her mom for Community Nurses and was a volunteer for CAPSEA for many years. She spent a lot of time in Corry, where many of her relatives still survive. In spite of her long-standing, serious health issues, she remained a loving, caring, helping person. Truly a beautiful angel on earth.
In addition to her father of Ridgway, she is survived by a daughter, Chelsie Rhodes (fiancé Dakota Potts) of Ridgway; two grandchildren, Gracie and Eli; a brother, Mike Lilley (Cristin) and their children Hayden and Addison of Warren; her boyfriend, Frank Moore; her soul sister, who was there for her for many years, Lori Gier Herzog; and Lori’s four daughters, whom she considered her nieces, Kali, Maci, Ellie, and goddaughter, Joli. She is also survived by a great-uncle in Florida.
Memorial services for Karen Sue Yorns will be held in the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Ron Burkett, pastor of the Hallton Church.
There will no visitation.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home.
