Kathleen V. Frank

Kathleen V. Frank, 93, of Water Street, Johnsonburg, and recently of Kane, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2012 at the Lutheran Home of Kane following a short illness. She was born May 6, 1918 in Johnsonburg, daughter of the late John and Emma Amacher Lynch. On Jan. 28, 1936, she married Frederick C. Frank, who preceded her in death Aug. 3, 1991.
She lived all her life on Water Street, Johnsonburg, until the past several years in Kane.
She was a homemaker and also worked as a housekeeper for Constables Furniture Store. She was an active member of the St. John Lutheran Church, where she enjoyed volunteering her time and serving as a member of the WELCA. She was a past member of the Central Hose Co. Aux. and the Johnsonburg Senior Center.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, canning, the polka, and sewing, especially baby quilts.
She is survived by four children, Donald (Consie) Frank of Johnsonburg, Kathleen (Don) Payne of Kane, Frederick C. (Jennifer) Frank Jr. of Johnsonburg, and Sharon (Harry) Bressler of DuBois; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by five brothers, Edward, Elwood, James, Cecil and Wallace; and by six sisters, Mabel, Leona, Helen, Idabelle, Mildred and Mona in infancy.
A funeral service for Kathleen V. Frank will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, 2012 at the St. John Lutheran Church, Johnsonburg, with Pastor Stephen Fair celebrating. Burial will take place at St. John Lutheran Cemetery, Johnsonburg,
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, 2012 at the Ubel Funeral Home, Johnsonburg.
The family suggests memorials to the Lutheran Home of Kane or the St. John Lutheran Church.
