Kathryn B. Heibel Rettger

Kathryn B. Heibel Rettger, 91, of Erie, died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012 at UPMC Hamot.
She was born in Erie on Dec. 27, 1920, the daughter of the late Jerome and Edith Schaaf Heibel.
A graduate of East High School, she was employed as a custodian with the Erie School District, retiring in 1985. She was a life-long member of St. Mary's Church. She loved to play cards and put together jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by two sons, Timothy Rettger, and Kenneth Rettger and his wife Cindy, both of Erie; one daughter, Patricia Rettger of Hermitage; four grandchildren, Cheryl Kosobucki and her husband Mark, Kenny Rettger and his wife Jessica, Tammy Lueck and her husband Josh, and Andrew Rettger; and one great-granddaughter, Ariel Rettger.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leo Rettger, in 2009; five brothers, Clarence, Robert, C. Richard, Jerome Jr. and Edward Heibel; and a sister, Jean Elizabeth Heibel.
A Funeral Mass for Kathryn B. Heibel Rettger will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Home Chapel, 607 East 26th St. (Reed Street entrance) in Erie. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Friends may call at Brugger Funeral Homes & Crematory, LLP, Pine Avenue Branch, 845 East 38th St., today from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Further visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
