Keiko C. Geci

Keiko C. Geci, 79, of San Diego, Calif. and formerly of St. Marys, died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010 at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego.
 She was born Feb. 14, 1931 in Omura City, Nagasaki, Japan, a daughter of the late Senichi and Rei Uragaki.
 On Jan. 18, 1971, she married Rudolph Geci, who survives.
 Keiko was born and raised in Japan where she had owned a restaurant where she met her husband. She returned to Pennsylvania with him and they lived in St. Marys for several years before relocating to San Diego, where they enjoyed their retirement years. Keiko enjoyed attending dance classes and volunteering her time to various Japanese organizations. She especially enjoyed cooking for her family and friends.
 In addition to her husband of nearly 40 years, Rudolph Geci, she is survived by a daughter, Kazuko Mine and two grandchildren, Mari Mine and Yasukazu Mine. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Mary Cunningham and Elizabeth “Liz” Geci, both of St. Marys; and three brothers-in-law, Ivan Geci of St. Marys, David Geci of Austin and John Geci of Wharton.
Funeral and cremation services for Keiko C. Geci were held in San Diego. Interment and graveside committal services will be on Wednesday, Jan. 26 in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Lynch-Green Funeral Home, 151 N. Michael St., is handling the arrangements.
