Kenneth L. Klein Sr.

Kenneth L. Klein Sr., of Wilkes-Barre, died on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
He was born April 23, 1939, in St. Marys, son of the late Emeron W. and Rose Detch Klein.
He attended St. Marys area schools before moving to Wilkes-Barre in 1964. He was employed in the restaurant business for many years and also owned and operated Ken’s General Hauling. After retiring, he volunteered his time to driving the elderly to doctor’s appointments and shopping. He was a member and usher at St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre, and also a member of their Holy Name Society. Ken loved to play poker with his family and friends.
  He is survived by his wife, the former Patricia A. Lusnia; a son, Kenneth L. Klein Jr. and his wife, Nomie, of Clarks Summit; a daughter, Lori Ann Clarke of Wilkes-Barre; two grandchildren, Patrick Joseph Clarke Jr. and Abigail Klein; special girls, Kaity and Vicki Romiski; three sisters, Mrs. Rosemary Wickett and her husband, Joseph, Mrs. Constance Socash, and Mrs. Mary Jo Walters and her husband, Clyde, all of St. Marys; three brothers, Gerald and his wife, Shirley, of Kersey, Frederick of St. Marys, and James and his wife, Gail, of St. Marys; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, LaVern Klein; and two sisters, Patsy Shelander and Marlene Haberberger.
A Memorial Mass for Kenneth L. Klein Sr. will be held Saturday, Nov. 13 at noon in St. Nicholas Church, South Washington Street, Wilkes-Barre, with Monsignor Joseph Rauscher, pastor, as celebrant. 
In accordance with Ken’s wishes, his remains were donated to the Humanity Gifts Registry of Pennsylvania.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Jendrzejewski Funeral Home, Wilkes-Barre.
