Kersey man drawn for bull elk tag

September 13, 2013

Friday the 13th may traditionally be regarded as unlucky, but 13 proved to be the lucky number for one Kersey man on Friday morning.
Ronald Wildfire, of Kersey, was the thirteenth individual selected for an antlered elk license in this year’s elk license drawing, which was conducted by the Pennsylvania Game Commission at their headquarters in Harrisburg and streamed live over the internet. This year’s elk hunt will be held from Nov. 4-9 with an extended hunting period outside the Elk Management Area from Nov. 11-16.
