The Elk County Catholic Lady Crusaders captured the ECCHS Girlsâ€™ Junior Varsity Basketball Tournament Tuesday night by edging the Johnsonburg Ramettes 32-31 in double overtime.
The St. Marys Area Lady Dutch won the consolation game by defeating Ridgway 35-25.
A foul shot by Chiara Genevro in the second overtime gave the Lady Crusaders the 32-31 win over Johnsonburg.
The game was tied at 28 at the end of regulation. The Lady Crusaders were up 31-28 in the first overtime when Johnsonburgâ€™s Tommi Wildnauer hit a three to force the second overtime with the score tied at 31. Genevroâ€™s foul shot was the lone point scored in the second overtime.
The first period saw ECC take a 10-6 lead. In the second quarter, the Ramettes outscored the Lady Crusaders by a 6-4 margin to cut Elkâ€™s lead to 14-12 at the half.
Johnsonburg outscored ECC 10-8 in the third period to knot the score of 22. In the fourth quarter, each team scored six points as regulation ended tied at 28.
In the overtime periods, ECC outscored Johnsonburg 4-3 to win the game 32-31.

The Lady Dutch took a 10-7 lead after the first quarter of play. In the second quarter, St. Marys outscored Ridgway 6-4 to take a 16-11 halftime lead.
In the third period, the Lady Dutch outscored the Lady Elkers 11-2. In the final quarter, Ridgway outscored St. Marys 12-8 to win the game 35-25.
