Lady Dutch tennis beats Johnsonburg 9-0

The St. Marys Area Lady Dutch tennis team defeated the Johnsonburg Ramettes 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon in a match played at the St. Marys Area High School.
In first singles, St. Marys' Amy Orr won her match 6-4, 6-1 against Taylor Scida. In second singles, Mary Rosman picked up another victory for the Lady Dutch as she won her match 6-3, 6-2 against Riley Fannin. In third singles, St. Marys' Marta Vega won her match 6-1, 6-0 against Page Martonik. Lady Dutch player Chelsea Agosti won her match 6-0, 6-1 against Josie Del Rio at fourth singles. In fifth singles, St. Marys' Aubrey Wiesner won her match 6-1, 6-0 against Andrea Allegretto.
"The girls played very good singles again today. They just keep improving from match to match," said St. Marys coach Sue Lepovetsky.
In first doubles, St. Marys' Mary Rosman and Amy Orr won their match 8-3 against Taylor Scida and Riley Fannin. Lady Dutch players Aubrey Wiesner and Chelsea Agosti picked up an 8-0 victory over Page Martonik and Josie Del Rio at second doubles. In third doubles, St. Marys' Marta Vega and Danielle McCoy won their match 8-1 against Paige Secco and Ann Carnahan. In fourth doubles, Johnsonburg had to forfeit the match due to an injury to one of their girls.
The St. Marys Lady Dutch are now 9-1 on the season and will return to action on Thursday when they meet the Elk County Catholic Lady Crusaders at Benzinger and Memorial parks at 3:30 p.m.
