Lady Dutch tennis beats Punxsy 7-2

The St. Marys Area Lady Dutch tennis team remained undefeated on the young season with a 7-2 victory over the Punxsutawney Lady Chucks Tuesday afternoon at the SMAHS courts.
At first singles, Punxsy’s Anna Monyak defeated Mary Rosman 6-4, 6-2.
At second singles, Amy Orr of the Lady Dutch beat Shaina Reddinger 6-0, 6-1.
Aubrey Wiesner of the Lady Dutch defeated Serra Wasicki 6-4, 7-5 at third singles.
At fourth singles, SMA’s Chelsea Agosti won her match 6-3, 6-2 over Lauren Wolfe.
At fifth singles, Marta Vega of the Lady Dutch, playing in her first varsity match, defeated Amber Ward 6-1, 6-0.
At first doubles, Mary Rosman and Amy Orr of the Lady Dutch downed Anna Manyak and Shaina Reddinger 8-3.
At second doubles, SMA’s Aubrey Wiesner and Chelsea Agosti won their match 8-3 over Searra Wasicki and Lauren Wolfe.
Marta Vega and Danielle McCoy of SMA won their third doubles match 8-6 over Tori Brooks and Erin Long.
At fourth doubles, Kylie Krise and Calena Spearing of Punxsy defeated Emiley Challingsworth and Megan McCoy 8-1.
“The girls played well today against a young Punxsutawney team,” said St. Marys coach Sue Lepovetsky.
The Lady Dutch will travel to Johnsonburg Thursday afternoon for a 3:30 p.m. match with the Ramettes.
