The St. Marys Area Lady Dutch tennis team edged the Johnsonburg Ramettes 5-4 in a match played at Johnsonburg.
At first singles, SMA’s Amy Orr defeated Riley Fannin 6-1, 6-1.
At second singles, Aubrey Wiesner of St. Marys defeated Cheyenne Johnson 6-0, 6-1.
SMA’s Chelsea Agosti won her match 6-0, 6-1 over Josie Del Rio at third singles.
At fourth singles, Danielle McCoy of the Lady Dutch lost her match in a three-set tiebreaker 2-6, 9-7, 3-10 against Paige Martonik.
At fifth singles, Andrea Allegretto of Johnsonburg defeated Madison Squires 6-1, 6-2.
SMA’s Chelsea Agosti and Aubrey Wiesner won their match 8-4 over Paige Martonik and Riley Fannin.
At second doubles, Danielle McCoy and Amy Orr of the Lady Dutch won their match 8-5 over Cheyenne Johnson and Paige Secco.
Andrea Allegretto and Josie Del Rio of Johnsonburg defeated Megan McCoy and Rebecca Aloi 8-0 at third doubles.
At fourth doubles, Megan Fannin and Olivia Perez-McGill of the Ramettes defeated Samantha Forster and Ashley Floravit 8-2.
“It was a close match again today, but we came out on top,” said St. Marys coach Sue Lepovetsky.
St. Marys, now 4-4 on the season, will host Elk County Catholic Thursday on Senior Night. The match is scheduled for a 3:30 p.m. start at the SMAHS courts.
