Lady Dutch volleyball blanks Bradford 3-0

Photo by Jim Mulcahy The St. Marys Area Lady Dutch volleyball team held a “Pink Game” Tuesday when the Bradford Lady Owls came to town. As a result of their fundraising efforts, the Lady Dutch volleyball squad was able donate over $800 to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

The St. Marys Area Lady Dutch volleyball team raised their record to 9-6 with a 3-0 victory over the Bradford Lady Owls last night on “Pink Night” at the SMAHS Dutch Oven.
St. Marys won the first game 25-16, the second game 25-19 and the third game 25-11.
“This is the point where we wanted to be all year,” said St. Marys coach Erica Vogt. “We stayed steady and played a good game. I am happy to see them playing the way I knew they could.”
In the kill department, Kayla Hoohuli led with five, while Abbey Cribbs, Shelby Zomcik, Kindred Wiseman and Chelsie Gaton each had four. Sami Hanes led the squad with 11 service points.
