The St. Marys Public Library recently launched its 2012 Summer Reading Program: “Dream Big-READ!” Young people from birth to 18 years of age are invited to join the program, which will keep them reading, listening and learning all summer. Participants who read or listen to stories during the summer months and keep a reading journal at the library will win prizes throughout the summer.
The library will also host many programs, prize drawings, story hours, Wii dance nights, bedtime stories and more. This summer’s program theme is all things nocturnal: dreams, stars, bats, night- time animals, spooky stories, campfires nights and more night-time fun things .
All programs are open to children of all abilities and their families free of charge. All money for the Summer Reading program is raised through generous local support from public and private entities.
Registration for “Dream Big –READ!” continues through the month of June. For more information, call the library at 814-834-6141 or visit the library's website at www.stmaryslibrary.org.
