Local businesses patient with road construction

The ongoing improvements to the Million Dollar Highway have led to a certain amount of frustration on the part of local residents. Potholes, traffic delays and equipment in residents’ front yards are a few of the problems that go along with road construction. Several business owners along the highway, however, say that construction hasn’t slowed them down.
Lisa Wolfel, owner of Slip On Appeal, said that she used to work in construction, so she remains patient through the process. She also mentioned that there aren’t many other piecing and body jewelry shops in the area, which helps keep her customer base regardless of conditions.
