Local man sentenced in methamphetamine lab bust

October 2, 2012

RIDGWAY - A local man charged with operating a methamphetamine lab out of a Johnsonburg home was sentenced Monday in Elk County Court to serve 5 to 10 years in state prison.
Justin Edward Greene, 26, of Johnsonburg, accepted a plea agreement and in turn pled guilty to a charge of possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance.
Greene was sentenced by Judge Richard Masson to no less than five years' and no more than 10 years' incarceration at the State Diagnostic and Classification Center in Pittsburgh, which Masson explained is the mandatory minimum allowed under state sentencing guidelines. In addition, Greene was ordered to pay a $50,000 statutorily mandated fine.
