Loretta R. Quattrone

Loretta R. Quattrone, age 79, of 222 Spruce St., Ridgway, died early Friday morning, Feb. 17, 2012, at Elk Haven Nursing Home following a lengthy illness.
She was born Nov. 27, 1932, in Ridgway, daughter of the late Clifford and Frances (Unick) Emmett. She married Joseph Quattrone on June 11, 1949; he survives.
She had resided in Ridgway all of her life and was a member of St. Leo Catholic Church. She was a graduate of St. Leo High School and had been a past Girl Scout leader. She had been employed by Elk County General Hospital and by Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital for 31 years. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving besides her husband are the following children: Frances B. Covello and her husband Louis of Glenwood, N.J., Frank A. Quattrone and his wife Sandy of Ridgway, Lorraine A. Melice and her husband Leonard of Jamestown, N.Y., Joseph D. Quattrone of Abha, Saudi Arabia; eight grandchildren, Josh, Michelle, Melissa, Anthony, Nick, Adam, Tomasina, and Samantha; one great-grandson, Gavin; and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Finney, Mary Alice Sperduti, and Betty Jane Pannette.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Loretta R. Quattrone will be celebrated at St. Leo Catholic Church on Monday, Feb. 20, 2012 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be Fr. Brian E. Vossler, pastor of St. Leo Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Leo Cemetery. Friends will be received at the Thompson Funeral Home on Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, from 5-8 p.m.
A wake service will be held at the funeral home Sunday evening at 7:45 p.m. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Elk Haven Nursing Home, 785 Johnsonburg Rd., St. Marys, PA 15857; or to the Elk County Humane Society, 1029 E. Eschbach Rd., St. Marys, PA 15857.
