Louis Richard “Gigi” Notarianni

Louis Richard “Gigi” Notarianni, 81, of Powers Avenue, Johnsonburg, died Monday, Aug. 25, 2014 at Pinecrest Manor after a short illness.
He was born Sept. 8, 1932 in Johnsonburg, son of the late Victor and Jean (Victor) Notarianni.
Mr. Notarianni married Carol Catherine (Baum) on April 20, 1963 in Holy Rosary Church. She preceded him in death on Nov. 24, 2006.
Following his Johnsonburg High School graduation he continued his education for four years at Gannon University.
Gigi worked many places through the years, including: North American Industrial Supply, All American Supermarket of Johnsonburg, Stackpole Carbon for many years, ATA bus driver for 20 years, the Piedmont Club and volunteered for the Johnsonburg Food Bank, the Johnsonburg Fire Police and many other community organizations.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Johnsonburg Fire Company and the Piedmont Club. He enjoyed listening to music, singing baritone and lived most of his life in Johnsonburg.
He is survived by five children, L. Richard “Rich” (Kelly) Notarianni II of Johnsonburg, Jay P. (Vanessa) Notarianni of Wilcox, Regina “Gina” Osborn of Knoxville, Jolene (Randy) Billick of Ridgway, Alicia (Aaron) Notarianni Stephens of Funkstown, Md.
He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and two brothers, John Notarianni of Indianapolis, Ind. and Victor Duane Notarianni of Mechanicsburg.
Mr. Notarianni was predeceased by his parents, wite, one grandson, Isaac David Osborn and one sister, Rose Marie McDade.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, 2014 at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Johnsonburg with Father David Wilson as celebrant.
Visitation for Louis Richard “Gigi” Notarianni will be Thursday, Aug. 28, 2014 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 29, 2014 from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. at the Ubel Funeral Home in Johnsonburg.
Interment will be at the Holy Rosary Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the Ridgway Ambulance, Community Nurses, Inc., Hospice or the Charcot-Marie-Tooth Association, PO Box 105, Glenolden, Pa.19036.
