Louise A. Glatt

Louise A. Glatt, 91, of 108 Irishtown Rd., Fox Manor, Kersey, died Thursday March 5, 2012 at Elk Haven Nursing Home following an illness of the past several months.
She was born Feb. 19, 1921 in Benezette, daughter of the late Raymond and Kathleen Von Reibnitz Sexton.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and attended Benezette schools. She was part owner of the former Glatt's Inn in Kersey and had worked at Sylvania in Emporium for many years.
On Jan. 12, 1952 in Kersey, she married Robert E. Glatt, who preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 1998.
Mrs. Glatt was a member of the Kersey United Methodist Church and did volunteer work. She enjoyed cooking and baking, attending potluck dinners at the church, going out to eat and playing cards.
She is survived by three daughters, Pierina (Ronald) Lenox of Kersey, Betty (Donald) Agosti of Kersey, and Angela (Thomas) Hayes of Kersey; a son, Robert J. Glatt (Gloria) of Monroeville; a son-in-law, E.W. "Red" Maglidt of Kersey; a brother, James Sexton of St. Marys; 12 grandchildren, Christopher Hayes, Bryan Hayes, Eric Hayes, Robert Agosti, Michael Agosti, Gerald Anderson, David Anderson, Paul Anderson, Jeffrey Glatt, Tammy Pesce, Tina Donachy, and Krista Glatt; 16 great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a child at birth; a daughter, Judy Maglidt; two grandchildren, Mark Agosti and Billy Maglidt; seven sisters, Rea Floravit, Ruth Sexton, Elaine Jordan, Harriet Overturf, Marion Barr, Naomi Jones, and Pauline Fox; and by four brothers, Harold, Alan, Jack and Thomas Sexton.
Family and friends of Louise A. Glatt are invited to attend a memorial service in the Kersey United Methodist Church on Monday, March 9, 2012 at 11 a.m., with Pastor Joni Williams officiating. Burial will be in Parklawn Memorial Gardens.
There will be no visitation.
