Love of football leads Schneider to job as equipment manager

December 22, 2012

Photo by Becky Polaski - Sam Schneider, equipment manager for the University of Pittsburgh football team, is shown gathering water bottles left on the Panthers' sideline following their home victory over Virginia Tech in September.

In addition to watching the action on the field when Pitt (6-6) faces off against Mississippi (6-6) in the BBVA Compass Bowl in Birmingham, Ala. on Jan. 5, area residents might also want to keep an eye on the sidelines in hopes of catching a glimpse of St. Marys native Sam Schneider, a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh who also serves as an equipment manager for the Panthers.
