Lunch prices to increase

February 6, 2014

Lunch prices within the St. Marys Area School District will be increasing 10 cents starting this fall for the 2014-15 school year.
The new costs will be $1.80 for elementary lunch, $2.05 for high school lunch, $2.10 for ala carte lunch and adult lunches to $3.25 as they were not raised last year.
SMASD Superintendent Ann Kearney proposed this action during Thursday evening's school board workshop citing the federal guideline requiring school districts to raise their lunch rates at 10 cents per year until they reach $2.25.
