Marcia L. (Reid) Etherson

Marcia L. (Reid) Etherson, 79, of Cranberry Township, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.
She was born Feb. 6, 1933, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Alexander P. and Virginia (Kellert) Reid. On May 8, 1953, in Dubois, she married Francis T. Etherson, who survives.
She lived in St. Marys for over 30 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church of St. Marys, a member of several bridge clubs, a local Quilt Guild, a volunteer knitter for Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her husband, surviving relatives include three children, daughters Stacey Etherson of Monroeville and Marcy Etherson of Cumberland, Md., and a son, Alex Etherson and wife Linda of Cranberry Township; three grandchildren, Reid, Jacob, and Julia Etherson; and a brother-in-law, Arthur Edwards.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lois “Jean” Edwards.
A funeral service for Marcia L. (Reid) Etherson will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Circle Hill Cemetery.
