Marguerite E. "Betty" Frank

Marguerite E. "Betty" Frank, 92, a resident of Elk Haven Nursing Home and formerly of Lynch Road, St. Marys, died on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012 at Elk Haven Nursing Home.
She was born June 21, 1920 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Charles and Helena Kullertz Ambuske. On April 7, 1945, in the Sacred Heart Church, she married Raymond B. "Goona" Frank, who preceded her in death on Sept. 24, 1996.
Betty was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1938.
She was a retired employee of Speer Carbon and was an employee of the former G.C. Murphy Co.
Betty was a good and gentle mother. During her full life she made many friends. She enjoyed life, a smile and greeting everyone she met. Her first love was dancing, family card games, bingo and she was an avid reader. She enjoyed getting together with family on Sundays. Her love of life will be missed by many. Betty was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and a member of the Elk County Catholic High School Alumni Association.
She is survived by two daughters, Christine Haberberger (Byron) of St. Marys, and Sally Smith (Ronald) of Summerville, Pa.; three sons, Raymond C. Frank (Mary Ellen) of St. Marys, Glenn E. Frank (Kerrin) of Burlington, Mass., and Timothy Frank of St. Marys; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Rebecca "Becky" Frank, in 2010; two sisters, Dorothy Geitner and Helen Timm; and by a brother, Charles Ambuske. She was the last member of her immediate family.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Marguerite E. "Betty" Frank will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2012 at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Thomas More, OSB, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
