Marjorie A. Wilson, 84, of 185 Center St., Elk Towers, died Friday, Dec. 24, 2010 at the home of her daughter, Valerie Eckl of 520 Hall Ave., following a brief illness.
She was born April 19, 1926 in Byrnedale, daughter of the late Frank and Beatrice Williams Luzier. On September 5, 1946, in the Evangelical Lutheran Church, she married John O. "Jack" Wilson. He preceded her in death in 1987.
She is survived by a daughter, Valerie Eckl and her husband Greg of St. Marys; a son, John R. Wilson and his wife Mary of Janesville, Wis.; four grandchildren, Mike Eckl, James Eckl, Jackie Wilson and Dawn Wilson Brown; a sister, Gloria Youngmark and her husband Theodore (Ted) of Caledonia; a brother, Richard Luzier and his wife Anita of Daguscahonda; and a brother-in-law, Nello Pasquinelli of Brockway.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Stephanie Eckl; a sister, Nora Pasquinelli; and an infant who was stillborn.
She had attended schools in Byrnedale and had resided in St. Marys since 1946. She was a former employee of Carbon City Products and had been manager of the former Murphy's Restaurant and had worked at the former Grant's Restaurant in St. Marys.
She attended Shiloh Presbyterian Church, was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and enjoyed crocheting.
Funeral services for Marjorie A. Wilson will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Scott Wiest, pastor of Shiloh Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation is on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home.
