Mark E. Zimmermann

Mark E. Zimmermann, 61, of 196 Parade St., St. Marys, died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2013, at his residence after a lengthy illness.
He was born June 30, 1952, in Buffalo, N.Y., son of the late Edward and Catherine Biondo Zimmermann.
He was a graduate of Lafayette High School in Buffalo, N.Y., Class of 1971, and had resided in St. Marys since 1972. He was retired owner of the former Zimmermann's Exxon in St. Marys and had worked for Servicemaster at the St. Marys Area School District.
On June 23, 1972, in the Sacred Hearth Church, he married Frances M. Scutella, and she survives.
Mr. Zimmermann was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, and he enjoyed his family, especially his grandchildren and his dog Luigi.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Melissa Newcome and her husband Roy of Brockway; and two grandchildren, Anthony Newcome and Madelyn Rose Newcome.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial for Mark E. Zimmermann to be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, pastor, as celebrant.
Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
