Martha J. Eicher

Martha J. Eicher, 97, of Pinecrest Manor, died Sunday morning, May 1, 2011, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 26, 1913 in Ridgway, the daughter of the late Martin and Anna Johnson Johnson.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter L. Eicher.
She had lived in Ridgway all of her life. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She was a Registered Nurse in Ridgway and Elk County General Hospital, retiring in 1978.
She is survived by her stepdaughter, Barbara Johnson (Herb) of Acme; five grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; a niece, Judith Ferris of Weedville; and by two nephews, Thomas and Joseph Fannin of Ridgway.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ethel Johnson, Harriet Hichenko, and Della Fannin; and by a grandson.
Memorial services for Martha Eicher will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home, Ridgway. Officiating will be the Rev. Erik Hart, pastor of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Oakmont Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
