Mary Ann Micale

Mary Ann Micale, 90, a resident of Pinecrest Manor and formerly of 24634 Bennets Valley Highway, Weedville, died Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2013 at the Pinecrest Manor after a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 17 1923 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Fledderman Haberberger. On Oct. 25, 1946, in the St. Mary's Church, she married William J. "Dude" Micale, who preceded her in death on Feb. 15, 2005.
Mrs. Micale was a lifelong resident of the area and attended St. Marys Catholic schools. She was a member of the St. Boniface Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Deborah "Debby" Thomas of Weedville and Donna Zimmerman and her husband Richard of Weedville; five grandchildren, Amy Sorg, Darcy Geci, Abbey Zimmerman, Ricky Zimmerman and Jamey Zimmerman; and eight great-grandchildren, Benjamin Sorg, Emma Sorg, Joseph Geci, Gina Geci, Charles Geci, Anna Geci, Alana Pistner and Jayden Zimmerman.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Rose Marie "Tootie" Dorio, Arlene "Sparky" DeWald, Ethelreda "Blondie" Geyer and by a sister in infancy; and four brothers, Laverne, Charles and LeRoy Haberberger and by a brother in infancy. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Family and friends are invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Ann Micale. Due to the renovations of the St. Boniface Church, a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Queen of the World Church on Monday, Dec. 23 at noon with the Rev. James Faluszczak, pastor of St. Boniface Church, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Marys Cemetery.
There will be no visitation.
Memorials can be made to the Elk County Humane Society, 1029 E. Eschbach Rd., St. Marys.
