Mary E. “Judy” Wissinger

Mary E. “Judy” Wissinger, 77, of 204 Fairview Rd., Kersey, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013 at the Elk Regional Health Center after a brief illness.
She was born Jan. 30, 1936 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Edward and Marie Vornbaum Gerg. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys High School. She was a retired employee of Powdered Metal Products, retiring in 1999 after 34 years of service.
She is survived by four daughters, Cindy Dilley and her husband Dennis of St. Marys, Christine Wiesner and her husband Troy of St. Marys, Cheri Kornacki and her husband Tom of St. Marys, and Charlene (Scott) DeFrain of Kersey; seven grandchildren, Shannon Eckels, Jessie Truitt, Caton Wiesner, Clancy Wiesner, Jennifer Tamburlin, Brian Tamburlin, and Griffin Wissinger; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Margaret “Peggy” Akers of Johnsonburg; and a brother, Ed Gerg of Ridgway.
Judy was an avid Nascar fan, especially of Jeff Gordon. She loved her dogs, enjoyed gardening, and being with her family.
There will be no visitation.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Thursday, Dec. 26 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Elk County Humane Society, 1029 East Eschbach Road, St. Marys, PA 15857.
