Mary H. Marroni

Mary H. Marroni, 87, of Wexford House, Kingsport, Tenn., and formerly of St. Marys, Johnsonburg and Ridgway, died Monday morning, Nov. 12, 2012 at Wexford House in Kingsport, Tenn. following a lengthy illness.
She was born on Nov. 1, 1925 in Ridgway, the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Eleanor Rosaria Tegano. On June 9, 1943, she married Earnest J. Marroni, who preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 1965.
Mrs. Marroni resided in Kingsport for the past six months. She had lived most of her life in Johnsonburg and attended Ridgway High School. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church, Queen of the World Parish, Maria Jose Lodge, and Johnsonburg Senior Center. She especially loved to crochet.
She was employed by Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital in St. Marys for 24 years, retiring in 1967. She was also a nurse's aide at Andrew Kaul Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1991.
She is survived by a son, Earnest Marroni and his wife Debby of Marion, Ind.; a daughter, Debbie, Mrs. Richard Polinski of Kingsport, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Eric Polinski and his wife Missie, Michele, Mrs. Shawn Shipe, Richard Marroni and his wife Amy, Melissa, Mrs. Neal Brown, and Joseph Marroni and his wife Lisa; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Carmen Tegano of DuBois.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Marie Marroni; two brothers, Dominic and Paul Tegano; and a sister, Catherine Greich.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary H. Marroni will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church, Johnsonburg, on Friday Nov. 16, 2012 at 10 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Michael Ferrick, pastor of Queen of the World Parish, St. Marys. Interment will take place at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Johnsonburg.
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home, 401 Chestnut St., Johnsonburg, on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.
