Mary Lee Bloom

Mary Lee Bloom, 55, of 4 Gillouly Ave., Ridgway, died unexpectedly Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Elk Regional Health Center.
She was born April 28, 1956, in St. Marys, daughter of the late Robert H. and Loretta Hallinen Nussbaum. In 1975, in Johnsonburg she married Hubert J. Bloom Jr., who survives.
She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys High School, Class of 1974. She was employed as an LPN at Elk Regional Health Center in St. Marys and Ridgway.
She loved her grandchildren and her godchild, Savanna Simons. She loved yard sales, shopping, crafting and was a member of the Ridgway Eagles. She enjoyed nursing and was always caring as a nurse.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Tammy Tucker and her husband Timothy of Ridgway, and Karen Mahovlich and her husband Brandon of Ridgway; a son, James M. Bloom of Ridgway; three stepdaughters, Vicki Hetrick of Johnsonburg, Tara Miller of Johnsonburg and Billie Ford of Florida; 14 grandchildren; three brothers, Richard F. Nussbaum and his wife Debbie of St. Marys, David W. Nussbaum and his wife Lori of St. Marys, and Michael T. Nussbaum of St. Marys. She is also survived by numerous friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandmother, Rose Hallinen; and stepgrandson, Shane D. Miller. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Mary Lee Bloom will be celebrated in the St. Mary's Church on Thursday at noon, with the Rev. Meinrad Lawson, OSB, as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Parklawn Memorial Gardens in Ridgway.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m.
