JAY TWP. – The annual Memorial Day program was held at Mt. Zion Historical Park on Saturday afternoon, and a number of individuals turned out to honor those who have served in the armed forces. This year's ceremony included the dedication of a plaque honoring all servicemen from Jay and Benezette Townships who have been killed in action or are still missing in action.
Susan McClintick, secretary/treasurer of the Mt. Zion Historical Society provided the welcome for the program, and began by offering a few remarks regarding the society's website.
