Memorial Park staff offering a variety of summer activities

June 14, 2012

Photo by Becky Polaski - Memorial Park will be offering numerous activities for area residents throughout the summer months.

With the summer season under way at area parks, the staff at Memorial Park in St. Marys have a variety of new programs and returning favorites planned for the coming months.
Jason Schreiber, who took over as park director, replacing Denny Posteraro, has 20 students under his supervision this summer. Schreiber's former role has been taken over by John Benjamin, who will assist with the management of Memorial, as well as Luhr, Kaulmont, and Diamond Street parks throughout the summer.
When it comes to managing the parks' summer workers, who split time between the locations, Schreiber explained that he employs a different strategy than some of the other area parks.
