Representatives from the offices of state senator Joe Scarnati (R-Jefferson) and state representative Matt Gabler (R-Clearfield/Elk) were on hand Friday to pay tribute to Metaldyne employees for reaching 600 consecutive safety days at the facility atop Boot Jack Hill in Ridgway.
Sitting on 619 consecutive safety days as of Friday, the previous record was 587, achieved on Oct. 7, 2009.
