Michael Paul Jundzilo, 30, of Culbertson, Mont., formerly of 224 Maplewood Ln., Johnsonburg died Friday evening, Nov. 1, 2013 as the result of an automobile accident between Sidney and Culbertson, Mont.
He was born on May 28, 1983 in St. Marys, son of Gary M. and Diane Northrop Jundzilo, who survive.
He resided in Montana for the past year and lived most of his life in Johnsonburg.
He was a graduate of Johnsonburg High School in 2001. He was employed at Excel Industries, in Montana.
Michael was involved in Cub Scouts, Pack 82 and loved hunting and fishing.
He was an Iraqi War veteran serving two tours in Iraq as a Private with the Marine Corps with the 1st Battalion 8th Marines 2nd Marine Division for which he received the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Iraqi Campaign Medal with one Bronze Star, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and the Rifle Qualification Badge-Expert 2d Award.
In addition to his parents, Michael is survived by two brothers, Mark Jundzilo of Johnsonburg and Paul Jundzilo in Iowa; a sister, Joanne Jundzilo of Johnsonburg; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Eugene and Patricia Northrop and Mary Jane Marrone Northrop and paternal grandparents William and Elizabeth Jundzilo
A Mass of Christian Burial for Michael P. Jundzilo will be conducted at Holy Rosary Church in Johnsonburg on Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 at 10 a.m.
Officiating will be Rev. David J. Wilson, pastor. Interment will be private
Friends will be received at the Anthony F. Ferragine Funeral Home 401 Chestnut Street, Johnsonburg, Pa, Friday from 4-7 p.m.
Military honors will be accorded by the Johnsonburg-Wilcox Servicemen's Detail. Detail members are asked to assemble at the funeral home Saturday morning at 9:15 a.m.
