Michael Samuel “Mike” DeStephano

Michael Samuel “Mike” DeStephano, 54, of 325 Washington St., St. Marys, died unexpectedly Friday, April 4, 2014, at his home.
He was born Aug. 29, 1959 in St. Marys, son of the late Samuel W. DeStephano and Alice Lecker DeStephano, who survives of St. Marys. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of St. Marys Area High School, Class of 1977. He was a 1981 graduate of Clarion University and did post graduate work at the University of Pittsburgh and Wake Forest University in North Carolina. He was a former employee of Windfall Products in St. Marys and Penn Tech in Johnsonburg.
In addition to his mother, Mike is survived by two sisters, Mary Lorenzo of St. Marys and Laura Ishler and her husband Jerry of Curwensville; two brothers, Carl DeStephano and his wife Elizabeth of Baldwinsville, N.Y. and Samuel J. DeStephano and his wife Jennie of Columbus, Ohio; three nephews, Luke Lorenzo, Mark Ishler, and Benjamin DeStephano; and one niece, Isabella DeStephano.
Besides his father, he was preceded in death by two infant brothers, John and David DeStephano; and by his nephew and godson, Matthew Lorenzo.
Mike was a member of the Ridgway YMCA and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan. He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, campfires, a good cigar, and especially spending time with his family.
Funeral services for Michael Samuel “Mike” DeStephano will be held in the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Thursday, April 10, 2014, at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Visitation is at the Lynch-Radkowski Funeral Home on Thursday from 12 p.m. till the time of service.
