Mini Relay for Life going strong

On Friday evening, South St. Marys Street Elementary School students and parents gathered for the school's third annual Mini Relay for Life.The school's gymnasium was transformed into a hub of activity as approximately 85 students, from kindergarten to fifth grades, participated in various event stations.According to Susan Babik, American Cancer Society community income development specialist for the east central division, which includes Elk and Cameron counties, the students succeeded in raising nearly $5,500 for the American Cancer Society.
