Most Rev. Lawrence T. Persico ordained as 10th Bishop of Erie

Live television coverage of the ordination of Bishop Lawrence Thomas Persico revealed a humanity that is already endearing him to the northwest Pennsylvania flock he will now shepherd.  It was all part of a joyous day on which the 10th man in the 159-year history of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Erie became its new bishop.
