Motorcycle enthusiasts now have the option of taking the Pennsylvania Motorcycle Safety Program's Basic Rider Course (BRC) and Basic Rider Course 2 (BRC2) in St. Marys as Elk County Catholic High School was recently added to the list of the state's training sites. There is no cost for the program, and motorcycles and helmets are provided for those enrolled in the BRC.
According to Josh Burrs, ECC site coordinator, the addition of the school as a training site came about after Burrs began looking for a potential site closer to the area.
"This spot (the ECC parking lot) was about the only spot I could find big enough to hold the program," Burrs said. "They (ECC) were great to us. They've been great since day one when I approached them."
