Mt. Zion Historical Society on proposed demolition of part of BV High School

October 22, 2012

An following article recently appeared in the Bennetts Valley Newspaper regarding the St. Marys Area School Board decision on the demolition of that portion of the Bennetts Valley Elementary School that once was the Bennetts Valley High School.
A public meeting is scheduled on Thursday, Nov. 8 at 7 p.m. at the Bennetts Valley Elementary to give the local citizens of Bennetts Valley an opportunity to express their views on this decision.
Many of us feel that before this decision becomes final that other avenues should be explored to save this community landmark.
Should you have an opinion or interest in this building, we urge you to attend the public meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting, but would like to express you thoughts, please email us at jburke@mtzionhistoricalsociety.org.
