Multiple proposals offered at council

January 12, 2014

Greg Gebauer

Several suggestions were offered by St. Marys City Councilman Greg Gebauer on numerous subjects during their most recent meeting. Of those were revisiting the downtown parking issue, having the City Manager attend Municipal Authority meetings and scheduling upcoming executive sessions.
"The last two years I've been on council we have had a lot of discussion about parking in the town, Gebauer said. "I still get a lot of comments from citizens and business owners, both pro and con."
He suggested appointing a committee of six to eighth people consisting of two council members, a few downtown business owners, and non-downtown business owners and citizens to allow for public and business input on the matters, to hear both pros and cons about parking.
This committee would then present their recommendation to council.
