Nancy J. Nissel

Nancy J. Nissel, 75, of 230 Louis St., died on Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh following an illness of the past several months.
She was born May 6, 1937 in St. Marys, daughter of the late Alfred "Showy" and Frances "Pat" Meyer Gleixner. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a graduate of Central Catholic High School, Class of 1956.
On May 25, 1957 in the St. Mary's Church, she married Ronald C. Nissel who preceded her in death on March 25, 2007.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Lou Ann (Joseph) Largey of Kersey and Denise (Durk) Simmons of Chesapeake, Va.; three sons, James G. Nissel at home, Mark E. (Lisa) Nissel of St. Marys and Robert G. Nissel and his friend Beth Peters of St. Marys; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis Daly of DuBois and Patricia Wickett of St. Marys along with; two brothers, Eugene H. (Alicia) Gleixner of Naples, Fla. and Wayne P. (Carol) Gleixner of Mt. Gretna, Pa.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Patricia Nissel who died in infancy and a brother Willis T. Gleixner.
There will be no visitation for Nancy J. Nissel.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated in the Sacred Heart Church on Wed., Aug. 15, 2012 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Eric Vogt, OSB, as pastor, officiating.
