Nanette Caggiano

Nanette Caggiano, 82, of 28 Pierce Ave., Ridgway, died Tuesday, March 28, 2012 at Elk Regional Health Center after a short illness.
She was born April 12, 1929, in New York City, N.Y., the daughter of the late Anthony and Grace DePaolo Romandetti. On May 31, 1947, she married Rudolph Caggiano, who predeceased her on May 14, 2004.
Mrs. Caggiano attended New York City public schools and graduated from New York High School of Journalism. She had been employed by Quality Components, The Center Market, Oasis Restaurant and Benji’s Bakery. Mrs. Caggiano was a member of St. Leo’s Catholic Church and a fifty year member of the C.D. of A. She enjoyed reading and was an avid New York Yankees fan.
She is survived by the following children: Judith Carr of Kersey, Victor Caggiano (Bonnie) of Erie, Loretta Zambanini (Rick) of Ridgway, Barry Caggiano (Mary Jo) of Ridgway, and Daniel Caggiano (Debbie) of Kersey; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister in infancy; three brothers, Daniel, John and Joseph Romandetti; a sister, Vivian D’Agnese; a son, Stephen, in infancy; two grandsons; a great-grandson; and by a son-in-law, Michael. She was the last of her immediate family.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Nanette Caggiano will be celebrated at St. Leo’s Catholic Church on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Fr. Brian Vossler, pastor, and Deacon Lawrence Caggeso. Interment will be in St. Leos’ Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Meehan-Shilk Funeral Home on Friday, March 30, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Wake Service will be held in the funeral home on Friday evening at 8:45 p.m.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Leo’s Catholic Church or to a charity of the donor's choice.
